WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:
In this course, our students will experience hands-on field video production techniques and practices including project planning, script writing, filming, recording, and editing. Throughout the class, a special emphasis is placed on helping students master digital camera operation, audio acquisition, lighting, and digital editing. Students complete a variety of short productions working individually and in small teams. These productions will typically include a basic, artistic 10-second countdown, a more complex thematic montage of footage focused on a central theme, and a final team-based PSA commercial.
